Defining Revival

Dear Blogger Friends,

Here is your inspirational message below!

Defining Revival:

In my today’s devotion, I do find the characteristic is to praise God’s glorious name to see His glory to fill the whole earth and seeing God’s reign above all creation (Psalm 72:18-19). Indeed, spiritual revival is being described as inrush of divine life into a body threatening to become a corpse said by D.M Panton. Christmas Evans (an old Welsh preacher) once said on how revival is bending down to the dying embers of a fire just about to go out until it bursts into a flame. It is quite true to say how revival wakes us up and helps us to live on.

A barren desert could be fruitful when the fertility of the land increases with the personal presence of the Lord into glory and excellence, that is greatly rejoicing to celebrate the transformation of the desert into well irrigated fields (Isaiah 35:1-7) as these writers mentioned inside the Every Day with Jesus devotional text today. J. Edwin Orr also wrote on how revival takes place when we experience ‘times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord’ as stated in the devotional text too.

By this, I desire to have a face confession with the Lord as I come in the times of refreshing season that may come upon my life (Acts 3:19).

Let Revival fall upon our lives today!

Revival

Dear Blogger Friends,

Here is your inspirational message below!

Revival:
Reading my today’s meditations has caused me to understand on how God intends to bring about revival through the outpouring of the Spirit and blessings on the descendants of the land for Israel’s offspring to flourish so that they could identify themselves with Jehovah and with His people (Isaiah 44:3, Psalm 87:4-5). I do also find that the spirit of the Lord is expressed in three pairs of spiritual attributes. The first pair, spirit of wisdom and understanding relating to powers of mind; wisdom discerns the nature of things while understanding discerns their differences. The second pair, spirit of counsel and might relating to practical activity; counsel is the ability to adopt right conclusions, might is the power exercised in carrying them out. The third pair, spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord relating to fellowship with Jehovah; we can knowledge of Jehovah through our fellowship with Him (Isaiah 11:2).

It is to my understanding that we could do greater things than Jesus when we save souls and to perform miracles through the Spirit’s power (John 14:12). I agree with the late Rev Dr. Selwyn Hughes when he said how revival brings about flooding a locality or community of His people, stirring up the complacent and producing the conviction and conversion of a great number of people as he mentioned this inside the Every Day with Jesus devotional text today.

I ponder to understand on how revival begins with me first who will then spread the Word of God around pre-believing friends and pray for them to receive Christ’s Salvation into their lives in due time.

Let’s Revival Starts with Us’ individually First!

Are you being revived today?

Foot-wash

As I did my today’s meditation, I pondered upon how the disciple Simon Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, do you wash my feet? .... You shall never...
