Life through the gospel

 

As I meditated upon how the apostle Paul said, “Our Saviour, Christ Jesus who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light” (2 Timothy 1:10b, NIV), I am being reminded of how the apostle Paul spoke about how Jesus gives light & life through His death and resurrection (Romans 6:8-11, NIV) to those who believes in Him. Truly, I read how one of the Eastern religions says, “Christ's resurrection was really a reincarnation – another soul in another body” as he highlighted his point inside the Every Day with Jesus, Light online devotional text. Indeed, I recalled how the apostle Paul referred Christ as the firstborn from among the dead (Colossians 1:18a, NIV) saying that it was a clear allusion to reincarnation, while others had explained how Christ’s resurrection is a living recollection of others as they said, “To live in the minds and hearts of those we love” and how death “is not to die” mentioned inside the Light online devotional text too.

Hence, this prompts me to speak up of God’s glorious truth to pre-believing souls about Jesus Christ as I speak words of truth to them. By this, I am able to testify to say how God has raised me from the dead in sin to a life in victory (Romans 4:25, NIV) through the resurrection life that He has given me as I experience the fullness of Christ who fills me up in every way (Ephesians 1:23, NIV) as I wait for Him to rise me up to the resurrected life from my deep sleep (1 Thessalonians 4:14,1 Corinthians 15:12, NIV) as I did my today’s reading.
