As I meditated upon what the angels said to
them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He isn’t here, but is
risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee, saying
that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men
and be crucified, and the third day rise again?” (Luke 24:5–8, ESV), I
saw how the angels spoke in the way that revealed something about divine
nature that transcended into human nature and how Christ has risen up
from the grave in a supernatural way, which the prophecy foretold in
Scriptures, as I pondered upon my Resurrection Sunday’s reading.
Indeed,
“Morning symbolizes the Lord, His Coming, and so the arrival of His
kingdom…. This dawn occurs both in general and in particular, and even
in specific detail: in general when some church is being revived on
earth; in particular when an individual is reborn and becomes a new
person… in specific whenever love and faith have a good effect on an
individual. The Lord’s resurrection on the third day in the morning
involves all these meanings. It even involves the particular and
specific ones, since He rises again in the minds of regenerate people
daily and in fact from moment to moment” (Secrets of Heaven 2405) as
highlighted inside New Church’s Reading.
Truly, I rejoice in
knowing that Christ’s resurrection has given me a new hope for a new
dawn that my soul will be experiencing ahead after every dark period in
my life today. As such, I praise God to understand + know that through
the death and resurrection of Jesus, I have been redeemed by His blood
that cleanses my sins away and how I am able to live + walk in victory
of Jesus Christ daily just as John Scotts says, “we live and die; Christ
died and lives.” Truly, I also rejoice that Christ has resurrected my
soul to a new life found in Him – for it’s “the New Year’s Day of the
soul” as described by A.B Simpson. (Pondered upon Every Day with Jesus
