You Can’t Afford Not to Tithe

Notice:
Effective from today, all articles will be posted up on Saturdays from 3.00pm onwards.

You may think you can’t afford to tithe, but you can’t afford not to!

As I meditated upon what prophet says, “Bring to the storehouse a full tenth of what you earn so there will be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the LORD All-Powerful. ‘I will open the windows of heaven for you and pour out all the blessings you need’” (Malachi 3:10, NCV), and I accepted the truth that I must place the LORD first in my finances as part of the spiritual discipline of tithing, despite of my difficulty to tithe in the first place

Indeed, I observed how David described about his ancestors who placed their trust in God and were saved by the grace of God (Psalm 22:5-6, NIV). And, this encourages me to place my trust in God that I’ve been saved by faith I believed in the grace of God + knowing that He’ll see me through the difficult times in season of waiting for a right impactful job engagement where I could transform people lives ahead.

Truly, as I read the Scriptures, I acknowledge that God is testing my faith, my priorities and testing my gratitude. And, I plan to give the first part of my income back to the LORD once I received sustainable dues in future, acknowledging the LORD as my Great Giver, as I did my today’s meditation.

Indeed, tithing is a test of our trust today!

How can you put the LORD first in your finances today?
