As I meditated upon what the Scriptures said, “On the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation for you. No manner of work shall be done on them” (Exodus 12:16a, NKJV), I thank God for giving me rest and renewal to my human body that often deprives me of work–life imbalance naturally, and by obeying the Lord’s command, I see how He sets me free from work on Sabbaths and how certain biblical feasts will break my addiction to work. Hence, this prompts me to believe in faith that that God will provide for my needs, as I stop work for the duration of a Sabbath.
By this, this encourages me to let God renew me in my spiritual walk where I’ll reap abundant reward in heaven one day, as I let myself be a delight to God’s presence today.

Jeremy Koh is a disabled graduate from Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore – formerly known as Spastic Children Association (1987-1997). He graduated with Certificates in Microsoft Office Skills.
