In
my Advent’s meditation for today, I thank God that He does not shame me
because of my disability but He lets me have Christ as the source of my
hope (Colossians 1:27, NIV) as God pours out His love into my heart
even as I meditated upon what the apostle Paul said, “And hope does not
put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts
through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us” (Romans 5:5, NIV).
Indeed, hope speaks of God becoming flesh from His Word to dwell among
us (John 1:14, NIV) as He breaks forth into the world of our darkness –
by sending Jesus down through His birth that came out from Mary’s womb
(Luke 1:26–33, NIV), and for the fulfillment of the redemptive prophecy
of God to take place (Luke 1:54–55, NIV) which reflects upon the
promises of God through faith and assurance He given us today (Hebrews
11:1, NIV).
Because of Christ’s love poured out in my heart, I
thank God for His “peace” that I can have with Him as I place my faith
in Jesus as my certain hope to see me through my life today. As such, I
want to “pour out” this hope of Christ’s love into the lives of others
who are seeking encouragement and answers in this challenging world
today.
Where does your hope lie in today?
