Waiting for Immanuel

As I pondered upon my Christmas Eve’s meditation, I see how Matthew echoed Isaiah’s words as a greater fulfillment – a child being born to a virgin Mary, and the baby inside her stomach was Jesus known as “Immanuel” – the Lion of Judah (Isaiah 7:14, NIV) who would live among us; just as the Scripture says, “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel… God with us” (Matthew 1:23, NIV); by this, I am sure that Matthew joyously exploded loudly with much excitement upon hearing the great news of a Messiah being born this day.

Today, I welcome the great news of newborn child as I fix my eyes fixed upon Jesus – the newborn Messanic King being my Immanuel who would live + dwell among you & me (John 1:14, NIV) and that I sing praises to Him all day long.

Is Jesus your Immanuel today?

He is to me!
