The wonder of forgiveness

During my devotional reading, the Psalmist brought me to mind of how should I express my gratitude to God that He has forgiven and have set me freed from sin. This would be the result when the Lord restores me to fellowship with His Church Family (Psalm 130:4–5, NIV). Indeed, this forgiveness is not earned but it is a gift from God, which is the foundation in the wonder of God. Truly, forgiveness sets me free from sin and is eternal causes me to trust, love and worship Him forever through reverential fear for the Lord. I am encouraged by the apostle Paul to live my life as a spiritually blessed child accordingly to His riches of grace (Ephesians 1:3–4, NIV).

As such, I thank the Lord for this wonderful privilege and how I have been born of the Spirit of God that makes me a believer of Jesus Christ to enter into Kingdom Life of God (John 3:5, NIV). By this, I truly live in reverence fear of the Lord that keeps me from sin that arises from God’s great mercy than living in the fear of condemnation.

Let’s thank the Lord that we have been born of the Spirit of God as we live in fear of Him today!

Prayer Response to this featured article:
Lord, forgive us if we had thought that divine forgiveness were just the result of Your’ job to forgive only. Help us to live our life in reverential fear for the Lord.
