GIVE – Community Sanctification

As I meditated upon how the Scriptures said, “You shall eat neither bread’ nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings” (Leviticus 23:14, NKJV), I observe the practice of giving first to the Lord before all else was instituted at the Feast of Firstfruits. As such, I saw how the Israelites were not allowed to eat anything from the crop until they have given its first yield to the Lord in thanksgiving.

Hence, this prompts me to give my first paycheck when I have financial stability in my income as I take delight in giving as and when He leads me to give as God keeps pouring out His blessings onto my life, as I reflected upon my Easter Saturday Eve’s reading.

Are you giving your firstfruits to the LORD today?
