The Holy Spirit Spoke Long Ago

I believe that the crucifixion of Jesus was not an accident but rather the passion of Christ was part of God's plan from the beginning (1 Peter 1:18–20, NIV). Indeed, the Law, the Prophets, and the Psalms all speak of the Christ having to suffer (Luke 24:44–49, NIV), and the inspiration behind these writings points to prophecies about the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit spoke these things. Judas’ betrayal of Jesus was not a surprise to Jesus. While the betrayal and crucifixion of Jesus were tragedies and involved the work of evil people, they were planned by God and announced by the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:23, NIV). It is amazing that this Holy Spirit, who moved the prophets to foretell the truth about Jesus, is the same Spirit who lives in us to confirm the truth about Jesus in us and to us (John 16:13; 1 John 2:24–28, NIV). In Acts 1:15–16 (NIV), I believed that Peter spoke about the fulfilled promise of the Holy Spirit which was the fulfillment of the prophecy that had the Holy Spirit had descended upon those who were speaking in many languages as Peter proclaimed to the crowd then.

Today, I thank God that the Holy Spirit has bringing abundant blessings to my life and that He has been bringing deeper truth of revelation of truth into my life, guiding me into all truths so far. And, I pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth – into deeper and deeper truth of God’s revelation, just as God has been guiding me into deeper truth of God’s revelation so far & for you to know Jesus too. Indeed, you & I can perfectly reflect God’s character and compassion in our daily life.

Have you received the gift of the Holy Spirit today?
